Since 2013, ALDI and SUSA have cooperated to implement the Aldi Factory Advancement (AFA) Project, which seeks to improve working conditions at 37 textile factories in Bangladesh. The dialogue training programme involves both workers and managers to learn a dialogue-based, structured way of identifying problems in the factories and finding appropriate solutions that meet their needs. Five years into the project, impressive results have been achieved in numerous areas, such as health and safety, productivity and worker-manager relations. Additionally, the AFA Project PLUS supports production facilities in improving their existing childcare services, in order to address the critical need for quality childcare.
