Karmojibi Nari (KN) is an NGO that was started in 1991 and is still marching on the road of women rights and equal dignity. Over the years, KN organized formal and informal sectors’ workers especially the women workers of the agriculture sector, Ready Made Garment (RMG) industries, migration sector, domestic worker, tannery and leather sector and construction sector. At the same time KN tries to empower and strengthen the leadership capacity of the women workers of all sectors and advocating with concerned authorities to harmonize the existing regulations, amend and/or enact new ones and effectively implement laws for the wellbeing of workers. Rahela Rabbani is the Director of Research and Policy Advocacy at KN and also a trainer and expert for a factory improvement programme that SUSA implements together with KN in Bangladesh.
