SUSA enhances working conditions in Cambodia and Myanmar

Our cooperation with  The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)  in Cambodia and Myanmar was very fruitful. SUSA gave dialogue trainings and trainings about OHS and cleaner production in more than 10 factories. Workers and Managers jointly worked on their issues and developed sustainable solutions. Through the programme the communication between workers and managers was improved as well as the working conditions:

factories have improved ventilation in the production areas and ensured that sanitation facilities are kept clean. Other issues included payments in the event of absence due to illness and timely payment of wages. (GIZ, Social and labour standards in the textile and garment sector in Asia)

Our PROSPERe2e® training material guided our awsome local team through the improvement processes.

We are very grateful for the openess of the factories and their willingness to listen to each other.
